Reason for use

Antimonium tartaricum is a remedy of limited use in rheumatic conditions, yet it has a place all its own.

The acute articular rheumatism with fever and copious sweat which does not relieve ; the lumbago with extreme nausea and retching on the slightest motion ; the rheumatic conditions of face and teeth which are > by cold water ; the rheumatic conditions of the eyes ; and the frequent occurrence of these conditions in the fall and spring ; all present a picture not seen in any other remedy.
