Reason for use

We are led to the use of this remedy in whooping cough (or in any other kind of cough), when at the end of a paroxysm of coughing a quantity of albuminous, ropy expectoration pours forth.

Sensation in the throat as though the uvula was too long. ( Nux vom . has this same sensation, when the uvula is bluish and inflamed.)
