About the family
Lobeliaceae…Lobeliaceae, the lobelia family, consists of herbaceous flowering plants with irregular two-lipped flowers, now usually treated as the lobelia subfamily within the bellflower family (Campanulaceae); typical members are the cardinal flower and Lobelia inflata, the Indian tobacco. Of the listed remedies, Lobelia inflata is by far the best known in homeopathy, with Lobelia cardinalis and Lobelia syphilitica also recognized.
