Reason for use
Natrum sulph. conditions are noted for their intense pains that compel the patient to attempt to get relief by moving, but this does not give relief but for a minute, then more pain ; they can hardly find a place to rest.
This is 3 markedly sycotic remedy, and is especially applicable for symptoms coming on during damp cloudy weather or from damp situations.

NECK AND BACK . — (Natrum sulfuricum)
Stitches in nape of neck.
PIERCING AS FROM KNIVES BETWEEN SCAPULAE.
Soreness up and down spine and neck.
BRUISED PAIN IN SMALL OF BACK AND SACRUM.
PRESSURE IN LEFT SIDE OF BACK NEAR LUMBAR REGION.
Pain in sacrum, cannot lie on either side.
SUPERIOR EXTREMITIES . — (Natrum sulfuricum)
Piercing pains in left axilla, on humerus, back of hand, palm of right hand, fingers and under nails.
FLEXORS OF HANDS PAINFUL WHEN GRASPING ANYTHING.
Fingers swollen and stiff.
Rheumatic arthritis of joints of fingers, pains suddenly go to heart.
INFERIOR EXTREMITIES . — (Natrum sulfuricum)
Pain in right hip joint.
SUDDEN STITCH IN LEFT HIP, IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTINUE WALKING.
PAIN IN LEFT HIP AS AFTER LYING IN A BAD POSITION, MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO ASCEND OR SIT DOWN OR GET UP ; AWAKES HIM AT NIGHT, COMPELLING HIM TO MOVE CONSTANTLY YET CAUSING EXCRUCIATING PAIN.
Piercing pain in left hip and small of back, only during rest.
PAIN IN HIP EXTENDING TO KNEE.
SCIATICA WHEN GETTING UP OR SITTING DOWN OR TURNING IN BED ; NO RELIEF IN ANY POSITION.
Pain in hip causing him to move frequently.
STIFFNESS OF KNEE AND CRACKING OF JOINTS.
GOUT IN FEET IN ACUTE OR CHRONIC CONDITIONS WITH CONSTANT SHIFTING OF POSITION.
