Reason for useRoberts

Belladonna is of great value in those acute rheumatic conditions coming on suddenly with great force, where congestion is the great and paramount difficulty. In acute articular troubles it is indicated by the great heat and redness of the affected part, throbbing pain and very great sensitiveness. It is one of the important remedies in acute inflammatory rheumatism where there is the violent headache, pressure and delirium, together with the flushed face, dilated pupils, staring, protruding eyes, throbbing carotids and full bounding pulse. The aggravations and accompanying symptoms should be carefully studied. Belladonna is suitable after Aconite, Chamomilla, Mercurius, Pulsatilla, Arsenicum, Hepar sulph., Lachesis, Nitric acid. and Phosphorus. After Belladonna : Chamomilla, Conium, ( Dulcamara ? ) , Hepar sulph., Lachesis and Veratrum album may follow well.
