Reason for use
Cuprum met. will be found of use in those patients suffering with chorea, when complicated with rheumatic troubles or when it can be traced to a rheumatic diathesis. The heart is a source of distress.
The body is very sensitive to touch, and groups of muscles, mostly the flexors, have violent contractions.
Cuprum follows Act. rac. and Agar. well.
It may be followed by Calc. c. or Caust.
It is complementary to Calc. c.

Heart

DEATHLY FEELING WITH PAIN BEHIND STERNUM.
COLD FACE, LIPS BLUE AND COLDNESS ALL OVER.
Attacks are brought on by excitement or exertion.
SUDDEN DYSPNOEA UNTO SUFFOCATION.
PULSE SLOW ; ALMOST IMPERCEPTIBLE.

Paralysis of muscles of back up to neck.
Great sensitiveness of spinal processes from sixth cervical vertebra to small of back.
SLIGHTEST TOUCH INTOLERABLE, causing tearing, jerking pains in limbs.
Broad stitches under shoulder blade near spine like a knife.
Cutting in small of back transversely.
Burning and tearing in small of back.
Stiff lame feeling in back and lumbar region.
