Reason for use
Eupatorium perfoliatum is of use in rheumatic affections accompanied by perspiration and great soreness of the muscles and bones.
The intense, intolerable aching deep in the muscles and bones, with a sensation of soreness as if the parts had been beaten or the bones broken, < by motion and in the morning, makes a clear picture that suggests Eupatorium, under whatever circumstances it may be found.
Compatible with Nux vomica and Sepia, and both follow well.

NECK AND BACK . — (Eupatorium perfoliatum)
Beating pain in neck and occiput, < on rising.
Pain in back of neck and between the shoulders.
TREMBLING IN BACK.
Weakness in small of back.
INTOLERABLE ACHING SORENESS AS IF BEATEN IN SMALL OF BACK.
BRUISED PAIN IN BACK.
INTENSE ACHING PAIN IN BACK.
Deep-seated pain in loins with soreness from motion.
Severe pain and bruised sensation in sacrum.

Soreness and pain in small spot over left hip.
Pain with exquisite sensitiveness in left glutei muscles, passing around in front of the great trochanter.
Rheumatic pain on inside of left knee.
SORENESS AND ACHING OF LOWER LIMBS ; stiffness and general soreness on rising to walk.
Pain in all the joints of lower limbs.
Severe cramping pains waken out of sleep.
CALVES OF LEGS FEEL AS IF THEY HAVE BEEN BEATEN.
Sprained pain in ankle.
Soreness and swelling of feet.
Gouty swelling of big toe.
Pain in first joint of left great toe then suddenly shifts to other foot.
Intolerable pain under toe nails.

Gouty inflammation of left knee and right elbow.
INTENSE ACHING IN LIMBS AND BACK AS IF BONES WERE BROKEN.
GREAT SORENESS AS IF LIMBS HAD BEEN BEATEN.
ACHING OF BONES OF EXTREMITIES WITH GREAT SORENESS OF FLESH.
