Inner Head ► Head sensitive to rattling of wagons over paved streets, or to stepping hard. ► Pressing from without ; tension extending to eyes, with nausea ; worse from noise ; better on lying down or from carriage riding. ► Stitches in head, compelling one to lie down ; disturbing sleep. ► Piercing in temples. ► Violent throbbing, hammering on left side of head, coming gradually, towards morning, and going off about breakfast time.

Neck And Back ► Swelling of cervical and axillary glands. ► Stitches in and between scapulae ; neck stiff. ► Pain in back and small of back ; from cold. ► Neuralgic pains up the back, particularly left side.

Limbs In General ► Limbs restless in evening.

Sleep ► Drowsy all day from debility, with vertigo. ► Difficulty of going to sleep. ► Shocks on dropping to sleep. ► Pains felt during sleep. ► Sleeps badly latter part of night. ► On awaking feels as if he had not slept enough.

Chill, Fever And Sweat ► Chill afternoon and evening, and after lying down. ► Continuous chilliness. ► Chilly, with internal heat. ► Chilly morning in bed after previous heat. ► Awakens at midnight chilly ; worse from uncovering or moving ; later hot, prickling all over as from needles. ► No thirst during cold or hot stage. ► Heat on hands and face. ► Heat dry, internal at night, wants to uncover. ► Heat in flushes, with sweaty hands. ► Heat, with sweat and debility after eating. ► Sweat sour, offensive, like urine. ► Sweat on soles of feet makes them sore. ► Copious night-sweats. ► Chill afternoon ; then short heat over whole body ; afterwards profuse sweat over whole body. ► Intermittent fever ; chill afternoon while in open air, followed by dry heat when in bed, accompanied by all sorts of fancies while in a state of half waking, without sleep ; sleep and sweat only come on towards morning. ► Chronic cases, liver diseased, patient anaemic ; general cachectic condition.

Skin ► Skin dry. ► Skin dark, dirty ; brown-red spots. ► Burning hot skin ; fine miliary rash. θ Scarlatina. ► Itching nettle-rash in open air. ► Blood-boils. ► Carbuncles. ► Rhagades, deep, bleeding. ► Frost-bites, itching ; inflamed from slight degree of cold ; skin cracked. ► Ulcers bleed when touched ; stinging pains ; feeling as of a splinter ; edges hard, everted and irregular ; exuberant granulations ; after mercury or in secondary syphilis. ► Condylomata moist, like cauliflower, hard, rhagadic, or in thin pedicles.
